April TBR & my book buying ban!

Okay. So. April is here and since I’ve finally arranged my “book room” how I want it, I was able to rearrange my books and COUNT them, and boy was I surprised. I even unhauled a few, but I was still sitting at 200 books, and I’m sure I’ve barely read even half of them. Which brings us to the point of what no reader or book hoarder wants to ever endure – the dreaded book buying ban.

Yep, I’ve decided to put myself on one as of March 27th, and it will go on until April 27th…which is great because on April 28th, there’s a huge library book sale, and what better way to celebrate than to buy books?! Anyways, we’ll see how well it goes. So far I haven’t bought anything! While I’m on this ban, I’ve decided to try and get through as many “owned” books as I can. Fortunately, I don’t know the number of books I have, but haven’t read and I don’t plan on finding out anytime soon! Ha!

I also wanted to touch base on my April TBR in this post. I normally don’t restrict myself to certain books throughout the month, mainly because I’m a mood reader.

Anyways, I am currently reading History is all You Left Me by Adam Silvera, and I just finished reading The Book Jumper. So I’ll be posting a review for that. Next up I finally plan to get through A Court of Thorns and Roses, and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas this month. I’ve heard great things, so I’m interested to see what all the hype is about!

What about you? Do you set yourself a monthly TBR or do you just pick and choose from your shelves like I do?

Also, have you ever had to put yourself on a book buying ban?
