Mini Review: A Man Called Ove

I had to sit on this review for a few hours before I decided to write it. Mainly because this book was an emotional roller coaster for me in many ways. It made me laugh, it made my heart break for the characters and in the end I was almost in tears.
This book reminds me a lot of the movie UP, with the grumpy old man as the main character. Throughout the book we learn about his past, almost through alternating chapters of past and present. During these chapters we come to realize that this grumpy old man has pretty much been through hell.
I fell in love with all of the characters in this book, even though this normally isn't my go-to genre. As a fantasy and young adult reader, this book was a breath of fresh air.
I gave this book a 5/5 stars because it was beautifully written and so amazing. I really recommend it to everyone who loves heartfelt stories like this!
