Middle Grade Mondays

I’m not sure if this is a thing anywhere else, but I thought it would be fun to share some middle grade recommendations every Monday with you all!

As someone who absolutely adores middle grade and reads it on a regular basis, I thought this would be a great way to let people know about all the amazing middle grade books that are out in the world!

The first middle grade book that I’m going to talk about today would have to be one of my ALL TIME favorites!

Peter Nimble and His Fantastic eyes follows Peter, a blind orphan boy who has spent his life as a thief. One day he decides to steal a box from a traveling haberdasher. Little does he know that this box contains three sets of eyes, and that each pair are more magical than the last.  With the help of his sidekick, Sir Tode ( a knight who has unfortunately been turned into a half cat, half horse creature ) and the fantastic eyes, he embarks on a journey to a hidden island where he is given a special task. Throughout this book, we learn about Peter’s past and what lies ahead. This story is full of adventure, fantasy and friendship. (It also gets a little dark at times)

I actually found this book at a local used bookstore, and had never heard of it before. Upon reading the synopsis I was immediately hooked and was not disappointed. This book is AMAZING. If you enjoy fantasy and middle grade, please pick this up! It’s totally worth it!
